Christmas and More

We're home, we're tired, but we're home. I can't believe our little man is already a week old. We have a miniature Jason on our hands for sure! Looks just like his daddy!
Maddie is a great big sister, she wants to hug and kiss him all of the time. We're trying to "let her help" so she doesn't feel left out, it's pretty cute.

First trip out of the house. "Don't let him eat me mom!"

Baby Mason

We are home!! We are tired!! But, this second go round seems to be going much better.... knock on wood.
He was giving quite the scare during delivery - his heart rate kept droping drastically during my contractions. Jason wore a hole in the floor with all of the pacing he was doing, but he finally came out after a long ordeal.
For those not on facebook, here are some photos....

38 weeks and counting

38 weeks with Maddie
38 weeks with Mason

I had my 38 week appointment today, and just like his sister, Mason is not showing any signs of wanting to come out. So we're gonna make him! I'm scheduled to check into the hospital at 8pm on Tuesday the 20th and they will start getting my body ready for labor. Wednesday morning, they will start administering the pitocin to cause contractions. Hopefully, by mid-morning or afternoon, we will have a baby boy. It's going to be a long few days, but I'm ready to be done with it. I'm not ready for the no sleep craziness, but I'm sooooooo done with being pregnant.

34 Weeks and Counting Down

We're as ready as we're going to get for Mason's arrival. I'm huge and uncomfortable and ready to be done, but I know he needs to bake a little while longer. ugh.
My check-up was boring, but we are both doing well. The doctor said there was some blip or additional sound along with his heart beat, and that it meant he was maintaining healthy brain development.

The cabinets are FINALLY done, and as soon as Jason finishes putting the handles on them, I promise I'll post pictures. It's only taken us six months to do them. haha. But that pretty much takes up our spare time right now - trying to finish little projects for our little man's arrival.

Dance Party

I can't believe I'm almost 30 weeks into this pregnancy!! This one has just flown by - probably has something to do with the ever energetic two year old. My belly is like a rumba, always some crazy dance party or soccer game going on. I'm starting to think that Mason has invited some friends. We have another ultrasound on Thursday to see how big he is and whether we'll keep our induction date of December 21st.

I'm planning on hanging the letters above his crib. And I'm still trying to find other stuff to put on the walls, they look so desolate and sad.

Oh Boy, Oh Boy!

Well, We had our 20 week check-up today, and it's official. It's a boy!! We are both so excited:) It's pretty obvious once you look at the ultrasound pictures;) Mason's upper leg is measuring in the 97 percentile...... wonder where he gets that from. haha. So, he's going to be tall, and I'm going to be miserable here in a few months. He is also measuring a week ahead of schedule, but that's to be expected. We're still debating on the middle name, but I think we are leaning towards Christopher. Half way there and man has it flown by.

16 weeks and counting

Well, here we are at 16 weeks. I went to see the vampires today to have my blood work done, and we should hear back in a week. The tests from the last visit showed it very unlikely that there were any chromosomal defects. Yeah!!
There's still 4 whole weeks until we can find out the sex of the baby. bleh. The doctor says that the old wives tale is that boys heartbeats are slower than girls. This baby's heartbeat is definitely slower than Maddie's was, but we'll just have to wait and see. This pregnancy is going by so much faster than the first one. Probably has something to do with the two year old that's keeping me on my toes. haha I forgot how much of a scatter brain I felt like the first time around. Oh well, it's worth it in the end.
Maddie talks to the baby everyday, saying hi and telling it to stay inside. It's pretty funny. She doesn't have the concept of it down, so everyday she changes her mind about the whole thing. Too bad kid:)
As long as all goes well with the rest of my pregnancy, we're planning on having an induction date of December 21st. That way, unless I have to have c-section, I'll be home for the Christmas holiday. So mark your calendars for the newest Bradshaw:)
That's it for now.

It's Father's Day, Let's plant stuff!!

I've been dying to plant stuff, but we've just been too busy, and I'm not good at digging holes. hehe. So, we finally did it today. I'm pretty happy with the results. Of course, the grass stuff in the back will grow to about 20-24 inches high, and the rest of the flowers will spread out some. Now, to the back yard. I really want to do some herbs and tomatoes and such. We'll see.....

Playroom

Well, I've basically finished Maddie's playroom in the basement. Maddie seems to enjoy it, and I love that she'll play and let me do things (sometimes). Note that this is the cleanest this room has ever been! Since it's in the basement, I don't feel the need to keep it spotless:)

I've been trying to stay busy with playdates, whenever possible. Not only do I get adult interaction, but she really enjoys playing with other kids:)
