Silly Daddy
Jason found himself stuck in Maddie's tunnel entertaining her in the back yard. Good Stuff!
And here are some more 'work in progress pictures.' We want to paint the bedroom, but not sure how or what color. This is the new bedset that I bought myself for my birthday.

House Updates & Fun
It's been a while since my last post, but between the house and Maddie, I've been going nonstop. Our little girl is all over the place and very much wants your attention at ALL times. But she's growing and learning and changing soooo much!

Getting Settled
We are slowly, but surely getting settled into our new routines and our new home. We just LOVE it here, and we've been taking every opportunity to get outside and explore. Our city has a free movie in the park during the summer that we checked out, and while we couldn't stay for the movie, it was nice just to be outside and not melting! I feel for all of you in KY, VA, and NC.
Maddie, as well as Mommy and Daddy, are loving all of this space! The formal living room is currently set up as an indoor play area for when it's too hot. She as found her voice again, and most evenings, she roams around babbling and laughing and whatever else she can muster, at the top of her lungs! I think she does it because she likes having everyone home.
Jason is really doing well in his job, and I've noticed a marked difference in his disposition about work. Everyone seems to like working for him, and it has been great to have him home more!
As most of you know by now, we gave Jaxson up. We miss him, but it's been a huge burden lifted off of me. We felt we needed to even the playing field, so we adopted a cat from a local shelter. Her name is Mia, she's three years old, and resembles our old cat a bit. She's also great with Maddie and somewhat overweight.

The Move
While we STILL have 3 more days in this TINY extended stay until our furniture gets here, I'm pleased to say that all humans and animals are still alive and well(as well as one can be). Jason is a serious trooper, and drove the ENTIRE way!! All in all, we totaled about 1800 miles in 2 1/2 days. Whew!
The dog and cat did really well, much better than expected. Of course, the nights were horrible, all that whining and hissing. And then there were the animals. haha
Maddie is the greatest trooper of all - staying in that car seat for hours on end. We'll have to tell her about this one day.
We are still contemplating what to do with the basement. Our newest idea is to have a duel office/craft area in the back room and a play room for Mads in the other room. I guess it really depends on the movers being able to move that monstrosity of a desk down there.

We've all grown accustomed to the time change - I think the trip really helped with that one. So, for now, we do what we can at the house, including killing massive amounts of weeds, and just wait for the truck driver. And let me tell you, besides the wait for Maddie to get here, this is the second longest wait......
AND JUST TO MAKE YOU JEALOUS, THESE ARE THE VIEWS THAT WE SEE EVERYDAY WHILE DRIVING AROUND CASTLE ROCK!!!!!
THIS IS THE VIEW WHEN YOU WALK OUT OF TARGET
CASTLE ROCK. LITERALLY. THIS IS WHAT THE TOWN IS NAMED AFTER
THE PARK DOWN THE STREET ALSO HAS A HUGE FIELD(SOCCER IT LOOKS LIKE,) A BASEBALL AREA, AND A POOL.
And, yes, we have an extra room for guests. May I take your reservation? haha

1st Birthday part 2
A good time was had by all, as well as a huge mess! Thank you to Katie Williams for the recipes - the were a great hit!!
While she is now a toddler, I still see her as my little baby girl, as I'm sure I always will. She has been rather cranky lately - nothing really seems to soothe her! How irritating!!! But I digress.
Her one year appointment is on Monday, and Grammy and Grandpa Mason will be here to help us pack next week. Then, next weekend, it's off to Denver for a whirlwind house hunting trip. Wish us luck (with the trip and the house hunting-lol). Hopefully we'll find a house in the one trip, then Jason has to be in Denver on May 3rd to start his new job. It's gonna be a stressful month or six for the Bradshaw household. Agghh!!
