Rice Cereal
Our first attempt at eating rice cereal, and, as you can see, it turned out to be quite the mess. Hysterical. These pictures were the aftermath. Daddy had to take these pictures, because mommy and baby were both covered!! It took forever to get her cleaned up, but it was worth it. I'm just glad that Jason was home to witness this first attempt.

Wellness Check and Fun Times
Ahoy, we went for a wellness check to Maddie's doctor yesterday. Last month he was worried that she didn't weigh enough - the mommies in my group told me to ignore him. hehe. I'm pleased to say that the doctor is now happy with her weight at 11.2lbs. Last month she was at 9.9 lbs. She still sleeps through the whole night, but it would great if I could. Bleh. And today was the first time I've let her cry herself to sleep. While it only took about 10 minutes, it was a very long ten minutes. Anywhoo, here are some photos. I'm still waiting on photos from aunt Debbie, but these should keep you all happy in the meantime.
No more paparazzi, please!!!
A very sleepy baby after a fun filled day of swimming. She really has taken to the water like a fish.

Trip to Kentucky
We had a great time in Kentucky visiting with all the family. Unfortunately there was a death in the family, and a bunch of the family members that were there wanted to hold her, of course. She was very overwhelmed with all of the people around her all week, and always wanted to come back to mommy.
Maddie and I flew to KY last Tuesday and mom and dad drove us back yesterday. 14 hours on the road stinks, but she was almost a better trooper than the adults. HA!
The plane trip was great, no problems with Maddie, it was the kids next to us that screamed the whole way. And they were going to California. Eww. Mom and Dad took her as soon as I came through security so I could use the restroom. A woman came up to them and said "I can tell which one you guys are more excited to see." Too which mom replied, "Well we've had the other one for a while." Ha, very funny. I really don't think they're going to be able to leave her on Sunday.
She has started giggling, ridiculously cute. Aunt Deb took a bazillion pictures, so as soon as I get them, I will post some. In the mean time, here are some pics and videos that I did.

Some really cute pics with Grandpa Mason

A very short video of our little girl rolling over. Poor daddy still has yet to see it.
She's highly entertained by all the "odd" sounds that Grandpa Mason makes.
