Well, it took 5 attempts and over an hour, but I finally got this video loaded.

Doctor's Appointment and Playdates

We had Madison's one month check-up today. And now that some of you have looked at the birthday ticker at the top of this page - very confused - I know how old she is. Her one month appointment got rescheduled 3 times. So needless to say, today's appt was not fun for our little girl. She got 3 shots and one oral vaccine. We both managed to make it through the appt unscathed, even though she did scream like the world was coming to an end. It was more shock than pain, I think. The look said "Why are you letting them do this and why does it hurt?"

I gave her some baby tylenol, so hopefully, it won't be a bad night for the household. After yesturday, I don't think I can handle another bad one. She was cranky ALLLLLLL day, refused to stay asleep, and stayed up until after 3am. Needless to say, daddy, mommy, and baby are all very sleepy today.

She is doing well, 23 inches, 9.9 lbs. The doc wants me to start feeding her more during the day, he says she's underweight for her age. She just takes after her mommy. They were all in awe at how alert and wiggly she is. Doc says she'll be a tap dancer. Ha.

Hanging out with Friends

We had a very fun, eventful, and tiring day yesterday. First we went to Cheryl and Dalton's to play in the water. Once she got used to it, I think she actually enjoyed it.

After cooling off in the water, we went to a great BBQ at this really nice park. I can't wait until she's actually big enough to play. Just kidding, I can wait.



I'm really enjoying this mommy group that I've joined. It gets me out of the house for some adult interaction, and all of the visual stimulation is great and exhausting for Madison. While she did fight us a little bit last night on staying asleep, she's been really good lately about sleeping anywhere from 7 to 11 hours at night. Now if I could just sleep.
